Captain Jalil Kuku joined the Alliance for Higher Education in Prison’s Board of Directors in 2024. Jalil brings extensive experience across both the public and private sectors, with a strong background in defense operations and program management. Currently serving as a Business Operations Lead for the United States Space Force, Jalil oversees critical satellite systems, collaborating with defense and intelligence agencies to ensure national security. Previously, he managed launch service contracts with SpaceX and other contractors, supporting high-profile defense projects, in addition to coordinating dignitary escort missions for the U.S. government. Jalil is passionate about promoting equity and expanding access to education, drawing from diverse experiences that include leading operations and creative projects within the apparel industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the United States Air Force Academy. In his free time, Jalil enjoys snowboarding, playing chess, and personal training, reflecting his dedication to personal growth and well-being.
