The Education Justice Project has publishes two reentry guides, "Mapping Your Future: A Guide to Successful Reentry in Illinois" and "A New Path: A Guide to the Challenges and Opportunities After Deportation". The guides provide support to expanding access to professional development opportunities for staff, faculty, and administrators on college campuses to provide them with the tools and resources needed to work with formerly incarcerated students successfully. Additionally included is research on best practices for higher education institutions to retain and provide support to formerly incarcerated students during this time of declining enrollments nationwide. Supporting soon-to-be-released or recently released individuals with re-entry services including a) transitional housing, b) employment, and c) college transfer support for students enrolled in a postsecondary educational program while in prison.
