The Michelson 20MM Smart Justice Initiative (SJI) leverages higher education as a catalytic force for transforming the lives of justice-involved individuals, and reforming the justice system itself. We work to transform the communities impacted by our country’s punitive legal system to forge brighter, more prosperous futures through education. We do this by leveraging funding, leading advocacy and research efforts, and advancing policy across systems. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, project management, analytical skills, and leadership capabilities and is a team player.

The successful candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and is able to work well with multiple constituencies and audiences, including academics, policymakers, researchers, advocates, educators, the public at large, and a range of media outlets. Knowledge of grant management and the nonprofit sector is preferred, a strong interest in the education sector and social impact work is required.
