Workshop on Evaluating Success Among People Released from Prison

The Committee on Evaluating Success Among People Released from Prison, part of the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine, is hosted two public information gathering workshop on recidivism, reentry, and the measurement of success. The workshop will be held over two sessions on July 27 and 28, 2021. Sessions will include research presentations and discussions focused on data, methodology and the measurement of recidivism, qualitative approaches to studying recidivism and reentry, and desistance and identity change. Sessions will also highlight lived experiences of successful return through a listening session with formerly incarcerated individuals and will engage with practitioner perspectives on issues around health, housing, employment, education and reentry.
